We Believe:
Current research states:
"In Multiage classrooms, teachers structure learning activities to meet individual student needs rather than aiming toward the "middle" of the class.
(Hoffman, 2003).
The student-teacher continuity afforded by multiage grouping provides a variety of alternatives for special needs students and viable alternatives to grade retention for students experienceing academic problems.
(Kappler & Roellke, 2002)
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Morristown Adventist School is to provide an environment that nurtures each student mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually, to encourage a personal relationship with Jesus, and to instill an attitude of dependence on God, respect for others, and a commitment to be the best that you can be.
Our Philosophy
The Morristown S.D.A. Church School was established to bring about the salvation of the young people through acceptance of, and faith in, Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. It is the objective of this school, through Christian education, to help each young person achieve a growth in character that will make him a God-fearing, honest, stable, and productive member of society and assist him in preparation for eternal life.
The educational philosophy of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is based on the belief that humanity’s ultimate purpose is to love and serve God and their neighbor, both now and for eternity. The Bible is the infallible frame of reference by which truth is measured. Its central message depicts the creation, the fall of man, and God’s plan for restoration of man through Jesus Christ. We view Jesus, His life, His death on the cross, and His resurrection, as the center of man’s hopes for the future.
“True education means more than the pursuit of a certain course of study, more than a preparation for life that now is. It has to do with the whole being, and with the whole period of existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, mental, and spiritual powers. It prepares the student for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come.”
